Concursul de creatie literara Magic words

Ii invitam pe toti elevii de liceu talentati si interesati sa participe cu lucrari in proza, cu poezie sau teatru. Concursul este cuprins in Calendarul activitatilor educative municipale din anul 2014.

Tema de anul acesta se inspira din cuvintele lui Kahlil Gibran “Beauty is eternity gazing at itself in a mirror. But you are the eternity and you are the mirror.”

1. In perioada 1 - 5.04.2014 voi preda comisiei lucrarile elaborate si selectate la etapa pe scoala in format printat A 4.- SUNT 3 SECTIUNI: PROZA, TEATRU, POEZIE

2. VOI LE SCRIETI, EU LE VERIFIC, APOI VOI LE PRINTATI , MI LE ADUCETI SI LE VOI TRIMITE PENTRU SCOALA

3. Lucrarile participante vor avea un singur autor.

4. Lucrările de la secţiunea proză să fie de cel mult 6 pagini redactate în format Arial, font 11, distanţă între rânduri - 1,5.

5. Lucrările de la secţiunea poezie să fie de cel mult 1 pagină redactată în format Arial, font 11, distanţă între rânduri - 1,5.

6. Lucrările de la secţiunea teatru să fie de cel mult 8 pagini redactate în format Arial, font 11, distanţă între rânduri - 1,5.

7. Se vor acorda 3 premii si 3 mentiuni la fiecare sectiune.

8. Premierea va avea loc în intervalul 15.05.2014 - 31.05.2014. Toate scolile participante la concurs vor primi cate un CD cu lucrarile castigatoare.


9. Elevii castigatori vor primi diplome si premii constand in carti.

1. You have seen an advertisement for a music course and you want to apply:

”Are you good at writing songs or at singing or playing an instrument? At Heath College of Music, we are looking for new talent. We are offering four free places on our summer courses. We are looking for enthusiastic people who are willing to devote many hours a day to studying.”

Write a letter of application to Clara Barnes, the director, explaining: why you would want to attend the course; what musical skills you have and what your favourite music is. Do not write any postal addresses.

Use between 150 and 180 words. Sign your letter as Andrei/Andreea.



2. Write a letter of application for the position of banquet supervisor for Marriott International advertised with the following job description:

Ensure staff is working together as a team. Inspect appearance of staff, and rectify any deficiencies. Communicate with guests, other employees, or departments to ensure guest needs are met. Inspect and maintain table set-ups for cleanliness, neatness and agreement with group requirements and company standards, and resolve any problems. Speak with others using clear and professional language, and answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.

3. You were unable to attend an important meeting at which you were supposed to make a presentation. Clasa a XII-a

1. You are employed by a company specialised in luxury holidays. You have been asked by the manager to visit a hotel which has recently opened and write a report based on the visit. Depending on your findings, the company may or may not decide to include the new hotel in its luxury holiday brochure. Write your report in approximately 300 words.



2. An international magazine is conducting a survey amongst its readers on television viewing habits around the world. It has invited readers to send in reports on television in their own countries covering the following areas: the variety of programmes available, the popularity of particular kinds of programmes and the role television plays in people’s lives. Write your report. Use approximately 300 words.



3.You work for a local environmental organization which is concerned about the effect that mass tourism is having on your region. Your manager asked you to write a proposal in which you suggest ways of encouraging tourists to continue visiting your area without threatening the local environment. Use approximately 300 words.

Pentru subiectele de Writing trebuie folosite structurile adecvate diferitelor tipuri de compuneri. Folositi capitolele relevante de la sectiunea de Writing Theory.

De asemenea, nu uitati sa respectati regulile pentru Sequence of Tenses/Concordanta timpurilor in redactarea compunerilor voastre.

Precizari suplimentare

In redactarea compunerilor trebuie urmate structurile standard pentru fiecare tip in parte (formal and informal letters, descriptive essays, narratives, articles, reports and proposals). Folositi structurile din capitolele relevante postate la pagina de Writing Theory. Nu uitati sa respectati regulile asociate Concordantei timpurilor/Sequence of tenses in redactarea compunerilor voastre.


Speak out - Concurs de monologuri in limba engleza

Clasele 5-12


Concursul are o taxa de participare (in anul scolar 2012-2013 taxa a fost 20 Ron). Elevi de la diferite nivele din Colegiul National de Informatica "Tudor Vianu" au obtinut in mod constant rezultate foarte bune la fazele pe municipiu si tara ale concursului. In ultimii doi ani elevi de gimnaziu s-au calificat la faza pe tara si au obtinut premii.


Structura competititei
Participantii din clasele 5-8, pe cele 2 sectiuni (5-6 si 7-8) vor prezenta un monolog original sau adaptat.
Participantii din clasele 9-12, pe cele 2 sectiuni (9-10 si 11-12) vor sustine o prezentare originala, in totalitate creatia concurentului.
Elevii vor fi incurajati sa foloseasca orice mijloace de prezentare (coloana sonoara, recuzita, costume, proiectii video, afise, etc) pe care le considera necesare pentru transmiterea expresiva a mesajului lor.

Timpul acordat prezentarii
Concurentii au la dispozitie minimum 3 - maxim 5 minute de prezentare. Este permisa o perioada de gratie de treizeci de secunde dupa care concurentilor li se scad puncte pentru depasirea limitei de timp.
Premii

Toti elevii care participa la competitie vor primi certificate de participare la fiecare etapa.
Castigatorii locurilor I, II si III la fiecare etapa vor primi o diploma, precum si premii atractive.
Castigatorul locurilor I, II, si III la faza nationala vor primi un trofeu, o diploma precum si premii atractive.


Criterii de jurizare


- Creativitate/originalitate: Cat de creativa a fost prezentarea elevului? Au fost ideile sale originale, o expresie a propriei personalitati? S-au adus elemente inedite si expresive atat in continut cat si in forma de prezentare?- Relevanta si coerenta: Cat de stransa a fost legatura dintre prezentare si tema? Cat de usor/dificil a fost sa stabiliti aceasta legatura? Si-a organizat concurentul prezentarea intr-un mod coerent? Sunt costumele si recuzita adecvate textului/mesajului?- Stil: Contact vizual cu audienta, prezenta scenica, controlul si claritatea vocii, intonatie, limbajul corpului, miscarea scenica si folosirea recuzitei (optional)- Nivelul de utilizare a limbii engleze: Cat de corect a folosit concurentul limba engleza? Au fost folosite structuri variate de gramatica si vocabular?- Impresia generala: Cat de mult v-a placut? Puterea de impresionare si convingere a candidatului. Calitatea de ansamblu a mesajului. Da, puteti sa fiti cat doriti de subiectiv la acest capitol!

If you want a good result in Speak out, here are some things you can do:


  • Write a very original and creative speech. You can write it from the point of view of a literary or cartoon character, or invent a completely new one. Use well-known stories and adapt them for your speech. Don't tell the name of your character from the beginning, but drop hints and only reveal the name at the end. Use costumes and props (obiecte de recuzita) if you can. Use body language and try to act out the speech, not just recite it like a poem. If suitable for the topic, use music and/or short songs, or play an instrument.

  • Make sure you know the speech very well. Rehearse/Repeat it at home, in front of the mirror, to check for body language as well. Speak loudly and clearly. Time yourself, to make sure your speech is not too short or too long. Make eye contact with your audience (teachers in the jury and other students).

  • Be confident! If you are well prepared and you know your speech, you will not be scared to speak in front of an audience.
